Learning Goal: I will read the article about thesis statement writing so that I can practice the skill in my blog post.
1. 30 minutes silent reading 2. How to Write a Thesis Statement - please read this article and practice it in the following blog post 3. Blog Post: thinking ahead to Friday's visit from a Kitchener City Councillor, what do you appreciate how our city? What would you like to see changed? -> use this post as a third opportunity to practice your formal writing skills -> your goal is to incorporate a thesis statement into your introduction -> it should be a minimum of four paragraphs (introduction, minimum two body paragraphs but feel free to write more if you wish, and a concluding paragraph) -> share your post with someone else and ask for feedback 4. Think about who you might want to work with when it comes to your presentation at city hall -> feel free to start brainstorming some ideas about what you would do to improve Kitchener -> remember that you are welcome to work with your peers at Huron for this task
